With thanks to a friend, Paul, for these photos of his lovingly restored 1950 Studebaker truck.
I didn't even realize when I took them, that he owned it.
It was after while talking to him while we were at the McLaren Vale Harvest Festival that he said, "Do you recognize the old Studebaker truck over there?"
It had sat for many years in a shed on the property we used to rent, gathering dust.
And no, I most certainly did not recognize it!

A very nice looking truck! A Studebaker, eh? Reminds me of the Muppet Movie, where they are driving across the country in a Studebaker and Fozzie Bear says that the Studebaker is a bear’s natural habitat (was Fozzie there?). I heard they may start making Studebakers again.
ReplyDeleteOK, I’ll try going back to being an adult now…..on second thought, NAH!

Epic- Caught my eye!
Nitebyrd- So true. There is just something special about the older trucks/Utes.
